Dirschauer Strasse – Kitchens

Berlin, Germany

Project finish 2018

Elisabet Sundin Architects

in collaboration with Studio Marek Polewski and interior designer Ina Marie Kuehnast

In the autumn of 2018 we designed 27 customised kitchens for a renovation of a residential building in Berlin. The apartments were aimed for younger residents staying for a limited period and should be pre-furnished. We decided to give the kitchens a fun easygoing appearance with fronts in natural plywood mixed with lemon yellow, mint green and white. Furthermore we designed an open shelf in plywood to place above the kitchen top.

The kitchens were all built and adjusted on site by Berlin-based carpenter Möbel Horzon.

The rest of the interior in the apartments got a quirky bohemian style with carefully selected pieces giving each apartment its own character.

In addition we designed a custom made kitchenette for the co-working space on the ground floor.

The building is to be found on Dirschauer Str. 10 in Berlin.
